About Coach

Health and fitness piqued my interest when I was in my mid 20s. I was always dabbling in working out, but never felt like I knew enough about "how to" to really be effective in the gym. Like most, I would wonder from machine to machine working my "problem areas" and wasting time on the elliptical- I never felt like I had much to show for my time spent in the gym.

Turning Point

The first time I ever felt accomplished in my athletic pursuits, was when I began to run. I wasn't even able to make it one block running with out being out of breathe. I'd run a block, walk a block, and just slowly and persistently built on that. Before I knew it, I was running 5k's, and eventually 10k's and half marathons. I wanted to compliment this new found cardio with weightlifting- so I pursued my Personal Training certification. Shortly after becoming a certified Personal Trainer, I found CrossFit- This.was.IT!!! The perfect combination of lifting, cardio, and gymnastics! I was hooked immediately and never looked back! To go into a gym, have a challenging and effective workout set for me, to be coached and corrected to get better, and all while hanging around the most inspiring people I had ever met- this was the workout program for me!

Motivation & Passion

Finding CrossFit propelled my passion for health and fitness to a new level. I studied and obtained my Precision Nutrition Certification, and began my own side gig as a Nutrition Coach. Helping others change their life was the best feeling in the world, and I knew this had to be my career path! I quit my corporate job in Health & Safety after 11 years, and took a leap of faith with my husband Ryan, opening CrossFit Recreate in June of 2017. I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and I stay motivated by surrounding myself with the amazing people at CFR every day. To fuel the fitness fire in others , coach them to accomplish things they've never dreamt of- that is a fulfilling life to me. "Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire."
