“Before coming to Crossfit Recreate, I did a basic pyramid weightlifting routine. After a short six months, it seemed like I had hit a plateau. I wasn’t building anymore muscle and I became very bored. I also had a hard time incorporating cardio into my workout. It was basically nonexistent. My idea of cardio was getting on an elliptical machine for 20 minutes if I was lucky. It was difficult for me to get up and go to the gym. I never really enjoyed myself. It was more of a chore than a workout.
I was then introduced to Crossfit Recreate and hit the ground running. I’ll never forget my first workout here. I left that workout completely drenched in sweat and with a strong sense of accomplishment. I was hooked right from the get go. I love the fact that they incorporate aerobic, anaerobic, and cardio into every workout routine. The high interval training is also a huge reason why I love this place. I’ve also built so much more muscle and strength than I ever anticipated. My strength and power have doubled since I started. There is no workout that can compare to this.
The coaches are some of the most driven and motivated people I have ever met. You can tell that they truly love what they do and it definitely reflects on all of the members. After I incorporated Alicia’s nutrition plan, I lost 11 pounds in only three weeks! My goal wasn’t even to lose any weight. My goal was to maintain a healthier lifestyle and the weight loss was just a side effect of that. My energy level, recovery time, confidence and overall motivation improved so much in the three weeks I implemented the nutrition plan.
